A primer, a ballzy improv of a Pop-Piano part and a full piano tutorial that might go deeper than I've ever gone featuring Ed's current mega-hit.
This song features a piano track (honors shared with the guitar, obviously) that once again exemplifies the capabilities of the Pop-Pianist that works his chord magic perfectly.
For the very first time (well, that's not completely true, but in this form: yes) and upon many requests, next to the "regular" piano tutorial, I've also recorded and put out a video of me playing the entire song in its final state. No words, just the piano track. I thought this way it'd make a nice reference of the parts and how they 'fit', and -annotating the video like I did- might even throw in a useful different angle to learn the stuff from.
Let me know if that is something you'd like to see me do more often!
You'll find the actual piano tutorial / lesson video below that one. This one goes pretty deep explaining and exemplifying yet again what you can do following the lines of 'Hack the Piano': Pop-Piano at it's finest.
Make sure you know your chords and patterns before trying to tackle this one. Or not and be amazed at the possibilities!
Have fun with this one and let me know how that worked out for ya! ๐
Cheers, Coen.
